At just five months old, Hadley was diagnosed with RSV, Pneumonia and Influenza B. At that time, she spent seven days in the hospital. This was only the beginning.
In her sixteen months since that time, Hadley has endured several illnesses resulting in at least 40 doctors’ visits, multiple medications, surgeries, E.R. visits and hospital stays. Hadley has officially been diagnosed with Abdominal Epilepsy. So rare, that there are only 36 reported cases in the last 40 years. Abdominal epilepsy causes severe and scary seizures, and her treatment will be life-long. Her parents have endured endless worry and heartache, restless nights, missed work and thousands of dollars in doctor bills. Jordan’s Joy was honored to partner with our community and raise $15,000 to get Hadley a service dog! Training of the dog could take 18 months, so in the meantime, we also purchased the family a state of the art camera and seizure detection system. This will give mom and dad some much needed rest knowing that their baby girl is being monitored and protected. We can’t wait for our sweet girl to get her new dog!
